2012 Women’s Day Celebration
The princesses of Metrorail Western Cape recently celebrated a Women’s Day event at Kwantu Guest House in Milnerton Ridge. Fashion, prizes, give-aways, hot topics, burning issues, motivational talks, women testimonies, you name it...they were galore. Irrespective of the bad weather on the day, the event was well attended!!!
There were motivational speakers such as Vivian Zilo from Iliso Care Society, and Nocwaka Mazaleni , Kwantu Guest House owner, who encouraged women to stand up for themselves and gave words of wisdom on women issues. Sensitive issues that affect women were discussed, amongst topics that were horned into were marriage, sexual harassment, domestic violence, work challenges, attitude and behaviour, wellness in a workplace, support groups, motherhood and single motherhood.
The were loads of gifts and give-aways to cheer the women up...the event was well sponsored by various organisations and companies such as Tsogo Sun, Radisson Hotel, Yemaya Express Nail Bar, Sh’Zen, Rainbow Hair Salon, Sizwe – Sechaba Medical Solutions and SAN Parks.
Wathinta’bafazi, wathinti’mbokodo - You strike a woman, you strike a rock!!!
